Multi Skill Camp 2007

Now into its third year the Multi Skill project for Y6 youngsters is proving a huge success. This year we gave an opportunity to all of our gifted and talented youngsters to participate in a testing procedure. All of the SSCo’s ran a battery of testing in each of their KS2 schools based on the fundamental principles of balance, agility and coordination. 70 pupils were selected to attend the Multi Skills Clubs and from there 20 were selected for the Multi Skill Academy. After securing some G&T funding we took the decision to invite the entire Academy to the Multi Skill Camp that was held at Hadfield Water Park.

 

Youngsters getting involved in the activities

The pupils took part in several different activities including raft building, kayaking, archery and various problem solving activities. The pupils who attended had a fantastic time from the two days away. Multi Skill Profiles have been done on each individual and a copy will be forwarded to their new secondary school.
